A Community Evening Featuring Local Art, Silent Auctions, Raffle Baskets Galore, Food, Music & More!

The Love of Learning Gala started as a humble art auction in a church basement, powered by parent volunteers to raise funds for our beloved school. Today we carry on the spirit of community and caring to enjoy an elegant night out at The Vanderbilt. Our goal is to raise $30,000+ to support scholarships and extracurricular programming – those important extras that make Love of Learning an even better place to go to school.

Highlights:

  • Live art auction highlighting local artists
  • Students' artwork on display and available for purchase
  • Silent auction and raffle baskets
  • Three-course buffet dinner served with the help of Love of Learning alumni
  • Open bar serving wine and craft beer
  • Dancing

Details:

  • The Vanderbilt Mansion is located at 180 Little Neck Road in Centerport, NY.
  • The event will take place outside in the courtyard of the Vanderbilt Mansion. In the case of inclement weather, the event will take place in the celebration tent on the adjacent lawn.
  • Dress is cocktail attire.

Our venue's capacity is limited, so please RSVP to reserve your spot!

About Us

The Gala at The Vanderbilt is produced by a volunteer committee of Love of Learning parents. Meeting bi-monthly or weekly through the winter and spring months, our core committee members serve as leaders for the dozens of other parent volunteers who serve on their sub-committees. This event really does take a village to put together and we ask that every family give some time, big or small, to help ensure its success. We have needs both leading up to the event (for those who cannot attend) and we also need a lot of wo/man power on May 13th for set-up, run of show and clean-up. If you have not yet stepped up for a volunteer slot, please contact our volunteer coordinator and PTA President, Courtney Thaler: Courtney@thalerfilms.com.
